One year ago in Las Vegas, Acumatica CEO John Case kicked off our Summit 2024 event by proclaiming: “We are just getting started. We’re going to be adding dramatically to our product rapidly. We’re expanding into new areas. This is the beginning of the next era, the new era for Acumatica.”
Summit 2025—the largest Summit on record with over 3,500 attendees—showcased the progress made in the past 12 months of this new era: a year of exciting innovation, future-building collaboration, and powerful achievements in the Acumatica Community.
Momentum and Milestones
In the Day 1 and Day 2 Keynotes, which you can now watch on demand, John and Acumatica Chief Product Officer Ali Jani highlighted the significant progress made and milestones achieved in 2024.
Product Releases
Acumatica released the Professional Services Edition, the first new industry-specific edition in four years, and delivered it to market within ten months of announcing it. We also released Acumatica Payments, AI-powered Anomaly Detection, and countless industry-specific capabilities and delivered broader access to a new, modern user interface. Acumatica 2024 R2 alone featured 350 other product enhancements designed to support the evolving needs of every business that relies on our systems.
2024 also saw the launch of the Acumatica Labs program, which formalizes and enhances our process of customer-driven innovation. Our developers build functionalities, and then we test them alongside customers who have signed up to be in the Acumatica Labs program. Through this testing, the features, like Advanced Kitting and Order Orchestration, are fine-tuned and ultimately added to the product.
Community and Ecosystem Growth
In 2024, Acumatica welcomed thousands of new customers, saw record renewal rates, and witnessed unprecedented levels of transactions and engagement. At Summit, John said that in 2025, an estimated $500 billion in economic activity will be running through the Acumatica platform. The online Acumatica Community Portal grew to over 30,000 active members in 2024, and we were named Number 1 in 74 different G2 categories—awards based on the feedback of real-life Acumatica users.
The partner channel also saw promising growth, with more than 50 new VARs and 100 new partners of all types. We launched the Acumatica Alliance Program, opening the door to big-name organizations and associations well positioned to introduce businesses to the value of Acumatica’s ERP solution. And we’re developing powerful applications and capabilities with our ISVs to address high-end needs in the areas of payroll, B2B and D2C commerce, and payments. John also announced that we are pursuing acquisitions and partnerships to strengthen Acumatica’s support and implementation capabilities, as well as engage with specific industry verticals to better support their business solution needs.
Product Innovations and Artificial Intelligence
Ali shared just some of the lineup of amazing features and capabilities we’re poised to deliver to customers in 2025. Acumatica’s upcoming 2025 R1 release alone boasts many new industry-specific innovations. For example, the Distribution Edition has a new Catalog and Pricing tool for Shopify, through which users can configure prices based on customer classes. Manufacturing has a new screen for quickly and easily showing material availability by production order. Users of the Construction Edition can now instantly transfer billing costs to the schedule of values. And, in the new Professional Services Edition, the Project Hub provides a centralized place for setting up, managing, and consuming all information about projects and customers.
But, beyond these features, Summit 2025 was the nexus for information about Acumatica’s approach to building practical AI with powerful results.
AI That Works for You
In the Day 1 Keynote, Miten Mehta, Acumatica’s Chief Engineering Officer, described our approach as “AI-first”—meaning we don’t develop AI for AI’s sake. Instead, we build AI that is responsible, “AI that is giving practical value. AI that is adding business value….AI that just works for you.”
This includes three specific innovative types: Intelligent Advisors that identify issues and suggest solutions, AI Automation that completes tasks with or without human intervention, and Interactive Assistants that interact with humans to get the job done well and quickly.
An Intelligent Advisor is already available in the 2024 R2 version of Acumatica in the form of Anomaly Detection. AI Automation is represented by Invoice Categorization and the upcoming Case Resolution Summary Generation. Acumatica’s Interactive Assistant is in the works for 2025 and beyond. And the future AI Studio will help users automate all their workflows and get deep data insights with the power of AI.
These AI features are backed by rigorous security measures. As Chief Information Officer, Jeff Smits, put it in the Day 2 Keynote: “We understand that you have entrusted us with your most sensitive business data. That’s why, at Acumatica, security isn’t just a feature. It is fundamental to our architecture. Our multi-layered security approach includes end-to-end encryption using industry leading protocols.” Jeff went on to assure our customers that “We will not expose your business data to public LLMs….Our AI systems are built with privacy-by-design principles, ensuring your data is protected every step of the way.”
Celebration of Customers, Achievements, Excitement for the Future
But, most of all, Summit 2025 was a celebration of all that Acumatica and our Community of partners, customers, and creators have achieved over the past 12 months. We heard the story of company growth and high-end performance from our Customer of the Year, Eastman Music Company. We learned how our Impact Customer of the Year, Republic Services, is reimagining plastics recycling through their Polymer Centers that run on Acumatica. Customer panels throughout Summit also provided opportunities to learn how today’s successful businesses are using our Cloud ERP solution to transform their operations and grow.
From the bustling Marketplace, where attendees networked with ISVs, to the 100+ Breakout Sessions, where specific, vital information was shared in interactive and immersive presentations, to the valuable connections made and learnings shared at our Women in Technology Luncheon and Networking Reception—Summit 2025 gave attendees the ideal environment to experience all that Acumatica’s Cloud ERP and our vibrant Community have to offer.
This year’s event was a great end to an amazing five-year run of Las Vegas-based Summits. But we need a new venue to accommodate our growing Community. Summit 2026 will take place in Seattle, Washington—one of the world’s biggest tech centers. We can’t wait to welcome you all to the great Northwest and celebrate the new achievements 2025 will bring!
